Heather Rodgers
Heather Rodgers was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Her parents, sister and three beautiful nieces still reside there. Heather graduated from Westland High School in Galloway, Ohio.
Heather was an active member of Potter's House Church of God since she was a teenager. She participated in drama, choir, leadership council and youth trips. Her first mission trip at the age of seventeen was with the youth group to Bolivia.
Heather spent two years studying at Master's Commission Washington DC. While there she participated in drama, school assemblies, Bible training, and sidewalk Sunday school. Master's Commission also gave her the opportunity to travel to Canada and Ecuador. Heather then earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Intercultural Studies from Lee University. While at Lee she participated in a ten week internship to South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique.
After graduating from Lee, Heather spent a month working at an orphanage in the Philippines. Then she worked at Nationwide Insurance for four years. While working in the insurance industry she was able to travel to Ireland and Chile.
Heather moved to Destiny Village in September 2010. After fulfilling her one year commitment she felt God leading her to stay at Destiny Village. Her long range plans are to follow wherever God leads.
Daryl & Joyce Bucknor
Daryl and Joyce Bucknor have recently joined the staff of Destiny Village. Married forty years and raised seven children, they decided to follow God's voice and move to Haiti.
Daryl , was a properties manager on a Boy Scout Camp in Salt Point, NY. He is eager to use the gifts God has trained him in for the development of Destiny Village.
Joyce, a dental assistant, who taught children' s Bible School for 14 years, hopes to bring inspiration and love to her new family.
Both see this as a opportunity to grow in God's mercy and grace and to share that with others.
