I'm sure you all have been waiting for an update.  Everything is fine here, there just hasn't been much to tell.

Fuel has finally come into St. Marc.  We were able to get a drum of diesel last week and the price was doubled.  Since then, the prices have dropped pretty much back to normal.  That is a big relief.  Food prices are definitely a little higher, but we have been fine so far because we are stocked up.  We went back to 3 meals a day for the kids, but we don't use meat every day.  We are hoping that the DeliMart here in St. Marc or the one close to the airport will have meat soon.

The bank is finally open as well.  A transfer has been sent, and we should have it by the end of this week.  The lines are extremely long as you can imagine.  Our money changer, Maxi, is willing to cash our checks for us for a $10 fee, which means Papi or Stevens don't have to spend all day at the bank.

Dad, Kristen, Rick, and 2 members from the Church on the North Coast made it safely to Haiti yesterday.  Dad and Kristen's flights on AA were canceled once again.  We are thinking commercial flights won't be available again until April or May.  Dad was able to book a small private plane to Port-au-Prince through a friend.  They were only able to bring 45 pounds of luggage each.  They spent Thursday night at Ft. Lauderdale, then left early yesterday morning.  They had to make a stop in Cap Haitien to unload medical supplies.  Dad said the flight was very smooth and they arrived at DV around 2:00.  Mom and I are so excited to have our whole family together again.

The Monarch Queen is headed out today and the box truck that Dad loaded is supposed to be on it.  We are praying it will get in sometime this week and that it will make it through customs quickly.  Dad and Kristen both said the truck is loaded down and they don't even know everything that is on it.  It sure will be fun unloading!  Thanks again to everyone who donated supplies or money for the truck.

Mom and I are continuing our classes with the kids.  We have heard that school may possibly start February 15, but who knows.  We both enjoy the classes because we are teachers at heart.  I have been teaching Math, Writing, and Bible.  Mom has been working on the younger kids with numbers, colors, and some English.  Kristen brought me several work books, so I am going to also be teaching History, Geometry, and Spanish.  Keep praying that school will start eventually.

That's about all for this update.
