You feel very helpless but to do something is better than nothing... PDF Print E-mail

Today we went into Port Au Prince and distributed the water and crackers we purchased yesterday.  Image

10,000 bags of water and box after box of crackers goes a long way and it took us most of the day. The people are so desperate that they almost come to blows over a small pack of crackers that taste like Ritz crackers. They would climb on the truck and beg for more.

They become very aggressive but if my children, wife or myself were in that position how would I behave? It was a blessing to just be a part of helping the city to get back to some form of normalcy. You feel very helpless but to do something is better than nothing. We are going in to St Marc tomorrow to check into several children that Pastor Marcel has from the Port Au Prince area. We have had them taken in for testing of AIDS and we will get the results soon.

We need beds and mattresses for them and we will look for those tomorrow also. It is a difficult place and it now is even more so but God always gives the strength needed for such a time as this. Continue to pray for us as we go forward.

On a side note:  I will will be posting additional photos to share with each of you later.  Please keep praying and know that your donations help in ways that you can't even begin to imagine.
